This Summer Institute will provide participants both new and experienced a unique and comprehensive program to help teachers become successful in Advanced Placement Human Geography.  The key goals of this institute are to share strategies, pedagogy, educational philosophies and frameworks associated with geography, to establish familiarity with the wide range of multifaceted resources available to the AP teacher, and to give participants systematic avenues for improving student reasoning and writing skills.  Employing a blend of contact presentations, effective teaching strategies and technology this institute will provide an overview of the systematic student of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, use, and alteration of the Earth’s surface.  Topics within the APHG curriculum include: Population, Migration, Culture, Language, Religion, Politics, Agriculture, Urbanization, Industrialization and Globalization.
