35th Annual Meeting
The Executive Board of the Georgia Educational Research
Association invites
you to submit a paper presentation, panel, or symposium proposal for the
35th Annual Meeting of the Georgia Educational
Research Association (GERA) to be held on October 22-23, 2010, at the Coastal
Georgia Center in Savannah, Georgia. Proposals representative of scholarly
inquiry relative to contemporary issues in education are welcomed.
In concurrence with our national organization, the American Educational Research
Association, the theme of the annual meeting of GERA, 2010, is "Understanding Complex Ecologies in a Changing World”.
Our Luncheon Program will focus on the future of GERA as a vital resource for
the educational community in our state.
All presentation proposals must be submitted online. All submissions must be
limited to 600 words (12 pt. font) including references. Proposals should address
briefly all major aspects of presentation (e.g., statement of purpose, method
(if applicable), conclusions).
Proposals are being accepted through midnight EST September 10, 2010.
You are encouraged to enter a completed paper to compete for the 2010
Outstanding Student Research Award or the 2010
Distinguished Paper Award. See the links listed on the left for complete

Your continued membership and involvement are essential to the vitality of GERA,
a state affiliate of the American Educational Research Association and one of
Georgia's most dynamic research organizations. The broad range of disciplines
represented by GERA membership includes education, psychology, statistics, sociology,
history, economics, philosophy, anthropology, and political science.
Join us for GERA at the Coastal
Georgia Center in Savannah to share your research
in progress. Attend and participate in multiple research presentations and meet
with your valued colleagues from around the state to collaborate, plan, and renew
friendships.
