The Student Success in First-Year Composition Conference is designed to promote the success of students in their post-secondary English composition courses. The conference seeks to establish and maintain an ongoing dialogue between college and high school composition teachers, as well as principals, media specialists and counselors. To that end, we are committed to offering practical, teaching strategy-oriented workshops, as well as theoretical presentations of composition topics that focus on the link between high school and college.

Sponsored by Georgia Southern's Department of Writing and Linguistics, this conference draws writing teachers and key high school administrators from four- and two-year colleges, technical schools, and high schools, as well as graduate students. Participants generally come from Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North and South Carolina.

Fees

$100 Regular Exhibitor Package
(includes one 6 - foot table, chairs, lunch, Continental breakfast and beverage break)

$50 for each additional table

$18 each additional Exhibitor attending the Keynote Brunch

$250 SPONSORSHIP Continental Breakfast
(includes one table free of charge)

$250 Keynote Brunch
(includes one table free of charge)

Exhibitors will be set up on the ground floor of the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building. All conference participants will pass by the exhibit tables during registration, continental breakfast, session breaks and keynote luncheon.

Set-up may begin at 7:30 AM on the morning of the conference. Tear down may begin at 4:00 PM or earlier if your firm prefers. Other arrangements may be made by contacting J.Marie Lutz or Kelly Pye or 912.478.5555.
