Georgia Southern University offers on-line training for septic tank contractors (details)

Georgia Southern University has launched three on-line courses to meet the re-certification and training needs of core personnel in ensuring public health. Environmental Health District personnel and septic tank installers may take any of the University's On-Site Sewage (OSS) training for re-certification credit hours.

For $75 per course, participants can avoid the time and expense of travel, hotel and food bills, as well as loss of work time that comes from face-to-face training. Instead, participants have one full month from the date of payment to access the course repeatedly on-line and take the 20-question final exam as often as they wish.

Georgia's septic tank contractors have until February 28 to complete four to eight hours of re-certification training. The state's environmental health workers have similar responsibilities for regular update training. The three on-line OSS classes each provide one or two hours of training and may be taken in any order.
