and theatre. Various booking agencies throughout the world supply CLEC with information
and references concerning artists. Recommendations from faculty, staff, students,
and community are welcome.

cultural and academic enrichment to enhance the educational experience of GSU
students. CLEC’s programming and budget is funded from GSU student activity

substance. The men and women chosen for the CLS represent many of the world’s
leading thinkers and writers.
CLEC Sponsored Departmental Lecture Series DLS is a series of curriculum-based enrichment lectures presented by CLEC in
conjunction with various GSU academic departments. Programming selections for
the DLS are chosen from proposals requested by CLEC. Faculty, staff, and administrators
have two chances throughout the school year to submit proposals. The mission
of the DLS is to expose students to outside experts/professionals and give students
a hands-on experience in their courses of study. The CLEC committee members vote
on proposals to fully, partially, or deny funding. The CLEC committee specifically
looks for a broad range of topics from GSU departments that will of be interest
and beneficial to all in attendance. Free admission.
