The Chairperson of CLEC is the Mr. Albert Pertalion-Director, Performing Arts Center.CLEC offers programs of cultural and academic enrichment to enhance the educational experience of students. CLEC provides three types of programming for GSU: Performing Arts Series (PAS), Campus Lecture Series (CLS), and Departmental Lecture Series (DLS). CLEC serves to implement policy and procedure for bringing to the campus programs of a cultural nature as well as lectures, both general and academic, on a campus-wide basis and for individual departments, divisions, and colleges.

CLEC Sponsored Campus Performances
PAS is presented and chosen through CLEC efforts and the CLEC committee’s voting participation. Programming selections for the PAS are chosen from various sources presenting professional artists in the fields of music, dance, literature, and theatre. Various booking agencies throughout the world supply CLEC with information and references concerning artists. Recommendations from faculty, staff, students, and community are welcome.

CLEC Sponsored Campus Lecture Series
The Campus Life Enrichment Committee’s mission is to offer programs of cultural and academic enrichment to enhance the educational experience of GSU students. CLEC’s programming and budget is funded from GSU student activity fees. CLEC’s CLS programs present speakers of various disciplines and educations substance. The men and women chosen for the CLS represent many of the world’s leading thinkers and writers.

CLEC Sponsored Departmental Lecture Series

DLS is a series of curriculum-based enrichment lectures presented by CLEC in conjunction with various GSU academic departments. Programming selections for the DLS are chosen from proposals requested by CLEC. Faculty, staff, and administrators have two chances throughout the school year to submit proposals. The mission of the DLS is to expose students to outside experts/professionals and give students a hands-on experience in their courses of study. The CLEC committee members vote on proposals to fully, partially, or deny funding. The CLEC committee specifically looks for a broad range of topics from GSU departments that will of be interest and beneficial to all in attendance. Free admission.
