Festival of Trees
November 16 - 21, 2009
Time: 1 PM – 6 PM daily and 11 AM – 6 PM (11/21 only)
The Festival of Trees is now beginning work on its 2nd year as a
family-centered community event at the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building on the Georgia Southern University campus. Proceeds from the festival go toward serving
the children and families of Christmas in the Boro.
Come and enjoy the beauty and creativity of various custom-designed
and decorated trees. There will be a large selection of trees in varying
sizes, shapes, and designs, a gingerbread village, unique centerpieces
and wreaths. Most items will be available for raffle. You'll also enjoy
a visit from Santa, local performers and an avenue of wonderful vendors.
The entire community is invited to kick-off their holiday season
at the Festival of Trees! Come enjoy the beauty and wonderment of Christmas;
Past, Present, and Future.
Plans for the 2009 Festival are underway. Anyone interested in sponsoring a tree or wreath for "Festival of Trees 2009" may contact Kelly Pye, Continuing Education Center, at 912.478.7977.
The spectacular designer trees is the focal point of the Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees relies heavily on local talented professionals within our area. Your creativity will be viewed by hundreds visitors to this year's show as well as the media. Help create the magical atmosphere in which families, children, and individuals from Statesboro and the surrounding area will come to enjoy each and every year.
