Conference participants who hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or Paraprofessional License or who are working toward a paraprofessional license, will be eligible for one (1) PLU Credit hour. One (1) Professional Learning Unit (PLU) is available for participants who attend all 10 hours of the conference.

A PLU Prior Approval Form must be completed by you and signed by an official in your school system prior to the conference. Please bring the Prior Approval Form to the conference registration desk no later than 8:30 AM on Friday, October 1, 2010.

Recipients must successfully complete a short written examination of the material covered at the end of the conference. Successful PLU candidates will receive their PLU credit forms within 2 - 4 weeks following the conclusion of the conference. These forms may be submitted to employing GA public school systems for 1 credit toward certification renewal. PLU credit is used by employees of Georgia public school systems who currently hold certification in an approved field as credit toward RENEWING their existing certificates.
