Parents, grandparents, babysitters and other care-givers are invited to attend Pre-School Prep: Building The Foundation and learn how to strengthen your child's early education.

Our 4-hour practically-focused workshop will focus on three main approaches to help your toddler or pre-K child prepare for school:

> gives you practice with innovative teaching and learning strategies
> offers tips on creating an "A" student and maintaining your student's motivation toward success
> provides you with necessary resource materials for your Pre-K students *
* These materials include the prerequisites for Georgia Performance Standards, Pre-K components, and No Child Left Behind.

Also included are group interaction and discussions on topics such as:

* Why kindergarten is too late to teach reading
* The importance of building a firm academic foundation
* Behavior modification
* Warning, trouble ahead
* Why can't my child be still

Who should attend?
Parents and other relatives of children aged 2 to 5. Other care-givers for young children are welcome.

Why should I attend this class?
Group discussions, resource materials, hands-on techniques and demonstrations will allow you to gain a better understanding, match Early Childhood Education theory with practice, and acquire knowledge that will benefit your child.
