A Proven Favorite used by more than 50 firms since 2000, Leadership Skills for the Front-Line Manager gives you or your employee 32 hours of managerial training across an eight-week period. Faculty include professors from the University's management, marketing and law fields.
Audience: If you have been promoted to a management or
supervisory position because of your current expertise, you need
a new skill set: knowing how to effectively supervise the people
who report to you.
If you have been in a leadership role for a longer period, but
want additional knowledge and practical skills to improve your
style, this course is also for you.
Line employees report that their job satisfaction is closely tied
to the "people skills" of their direct manager or supervisor.
These soft skills include motivating and coaching employees, delegating
responsibilities, communicating effectively, solving problems,
resolving conflicts, and managing change.
Your Will Learn
- The essential areas of effective management, including understanding
leadership styles, coordinating teams, and assisting those you
supervise to do their job better.
This non-credit course
provides professional development through hands-on skill-building.
