Please Note

Herty Drive, which once led from GA-67 (Fair Road) to the Museum has been closed. You now must enter campus from US-301 (South Main Street) to reach the Museum.

from savannah:

Take I-16 west toward Macon, traveling approximately 40 miles to Hwy.67. Turn north onto 67, and travel 10 miles to Veteran's Memorial Pkwy (301-Bypass.) Turn left. Travel approximately 2 miles on 301-Bypass and turn right on U.S. 301. Follow that to campus, on the right.

from Atlanta/Macon:

Take I-16 east towards Savannah, to U.S. Hwy.301. Turn north onto 301, and travel 12 miles to campus, on the right.

From Augusta:

Take U.S. Hwy.25 south, traveling approximately 80 miles to Hwy.301-Bus. in Statesboro. Turn south onto 301 (N. Main St.), and travel through town 3 miles to campus on the left.

Parking on Campus:

  1. Visitors are persons who are neither students nor employees of the University who occasionaly have a need to park on campus.
  2. Visitor parking spaces are provided on some streets and lots and are designated as GSU VISITOR PARKING ONLY. These are not for use by faculty, staff, or students.
  3. All visitors should obtain a parking permit from the Parking and Transportation office or the Welcome Center. There is no charge for visitor parking permits.
  4. Faculty, staff, and students are not allowed to park in visitor spaces between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for any reason.
