Educational Programming
The Georgia Southern Museum offers a variety of educational programs to appeal to children, adults, families, and teachers.
Interactive, hands-on programs for K-12 school groups allow children to explore the Museum's
permanent
natural history collection and all
changing exhibits. Our programs are designed to meet the Georgia Performance Standards and many of the programs are accompanied by teacher's guides. These guides provide background information and terminology about the educational program and may offer suggestions for related class activities. The Museum also offers
educational trips for adults and families. These special
programs cover topics as varied as science, local history, and art. Through its
outreach programs, Project SENSE and Project BESST, the Museum
offers training to area science teachers and access to comprehensive science activity kits for the classroom.
