Life As A Dinosaur

What was it like to start off life in a small egg and become the biggest animal ever to walk on land? What kind of adaptations let you conquer the Mesozoic? How are birds, the descendents of dinosaurs, like and unlike their ancestors? Explore these questions about dinosaurs and more in this fun, hands-on exhibit.

Archaeology of Camp Lawton

Rediscover a unique chapter in Civil War history through the historical research and archaeological finds made by Georgia Southern University Department of Sociology and Anthropology students and faculty working at the site of the former Camp Lawton, a Confederate Prisoner of War camp located in nearby Jenkins County, Georgia.

Curated by the archaeology students of Georgia Southern University with the cooperation of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
