Weekday Hours:
Weekday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Center closes for all recognized university holidays.
During the months of June, July & August, the Center conducts a daily wildlife program at 1:00 p.m. in the Center's lecture hall.
Weekend Hours:
During the months of September - May, Saturday hours at the Center are 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a scheduled reptile show at 2:00 p.m. and raptor show at 3:00 p.m. Sunday events and special programs at the Wildlife Center are available by special reservation.
Summer Hours:
The Center is NOT open on weekends during the months of June, July & August.
Birds will not be on display at the Center once temperatures exceed 85 degrees. For viewing our birds in their native habitats along the Center walkway, self-guided tours are best planned for the morning hours during the summer months.

The Center for Wildlife Education is located on the Georgia Southern University Campus just off Georgia Highway 301 in Statesboro, GA. Directions: Use the University entrance off of U.S. Highway 301 and follow Southern Drive to Sweetheart Circle. Turn right on Sweetheart Circle and right again on Forest Drive. The Center is on the left, across from Public Safety.
From Atlanta:
I-16 east, towards Savannah. Take Exit 116 – US 301 towards Statesboro. Just before town, after the Best Western on the left, turn right at GSU entrance (Southern Drive). Turn right onto Sweetheart Circle. Take
the first right off Sweetheart Circle onto Forest Drive. Proceed through
the 3-way stop. The Center for Wildlife Education is just down the
street on the left.
From Savannah:
I-16 West, towards Macon. Take Exit 127, (GA Hwy. 67) towards Statesboro. At second stoplight (approx. 10 miles) turn left onto Veteran’s Memorial Parkway (Bypass 301, 67, 25). Go through light at Lanier Drive, pass GSU entrance on right. Do not turn into this entrance. At stoplight, turn right onto US 301. Just before the next light, after Best Western on left, turn right at GSU
entrance (Southern Drive). Turn right onto Sweetheart Circle. Take the
first right off Sweetheart Circle onto Forest Drive. Proceed through the 3-way stop.
The Center for Wildlife Education is just down the street on the left.
From Augusta:
Take GA Hwy. 25 to Statesboro. Turn right at US 301 (North Main Street).
Travel through town and after the stoplight at Tillman Road, turn left at GSU
entrance (Southern Drive). Turn right onto Sweetheart Circle. Take the
first right off Sweetheart Circle onto Forest Drive. Proceed through the 3-way stop.
The Center for Wildlife Education is just down the street on the left.
